Mossberg shocked most everyone this year by introducing a handgun into their line of reliable and affordable firearms. Last November I got to spend three days at Gunsite Academy working with this pistol, and have since shot it a lot more. It is indeed a fine handgun that's ideally suited for personal protection.

The new Mossberg MC1 SC is not a ladies gun – mostly because there is no such thing. However, it fits most hands well, which means it’s a great defensive handgun for just about anyone.
