Ballistol. Good stuff, been around longer than any of us, and has many uses. Surprisingly, many outdoorsmen and gun owners don’t even know about it. You can learn more about it here: http://ballistol.com/story.htm
For those of you who know how good this stuff is and who have been using it, tell me the things you use it for.
I use it as a CLP mostly. If you mix it around 9 to 1 with water it makes a good black powder solvent. My only complaint is that it can be hard to find sometimes.
Good stuff, but I don’t care much for the smell!
The stuff cleans black powder weapons up with a “spray and wash’ ease. Spray it on the outside and in the bore and wash it clean. Usually one pass is enough. Great stuff!
Been using Ballistol for several years now. When i clean my firearms i leave the stuff in the barrel and moving parts overnight. The next day i swab all the black gunk away and apply another light coat for protection. It’s a do it all cleaner and protector that cleans better than anything else on the market as long as you let is penetrate overnight. (Awesome product)
I use it for normal gun cleaning, wood conditioning, a general household lube, and pretty much anything else that requires oiling. It’s great stuff and works as advertised.
Been using it over 20 years. One of the best products to clean and lubricate guns firing frangible ammo. Used it at the Academy almost exclusively on our loaner guns for years. Aside from doing everything well on guns it is great for revitalizing leather goods, preserving metal, and treating skin chafes and abrasions. I keep a bottle of the stuff handy to lubricate my tread mill and the sliding glass door that opens to my range. There’s more but I think that you get the picture.

I’ve been using it exclusively on my guns for 17 years now.
I remember I was given the first can with the purchase of a new over and under shotgun.
I’ve been sold ever since!!
It cleans and lubricates all in one.
I also have used on many leather items to bring them back “to life”…………
Thanks for all the input. It is the STUFF for blackpowder no doubt.
For those of us who use those expensive 3-4-5 blade razors you’ll love this. Ballistol will keep the blades sharp for a long time !
Pour some into a small cup and let your razor soak in it when not in use. i kept track and a 3 blade razor blade shaved great after using daily for 3 months.
