Friend and former law enforcement officer turned outdoor / gun writer Larry Case is off to Gunsite Academy for his first real deal Gunsite shotgun experience. I couldn’t let him head out west and not be properly armed so I hooked him up with a new Mossberg.
Now, you know I’m not a shotgun kind of guy; I routinely degrade them offering that unless your target is flying there is almost always a better weapon. Don’t misconstrue that to mean I don’t know anything about them. After all, I used one for 13 years as a police officer. I even have a few shotgun stories from Katrina.I also recognize that some are devoted to the shotgun and while I might question their logic, I respect their notions.
Some folks like to get a defensive shotgun and dress it up but the new Scorpion from Mossberg comes out of the box fully clothed and ready for a riot. I think Larry will be well armed when he gets off the bus in Paulden, Arizona.
