Loads like the 9mm Hero load and the only expanding subsonic .30 caliber bullet. But, they also make one devilishly wicked .223 Remington load. Its called the Controlled Chaos and chaos is exactly what it creates when it hits something. Look at the gel block in this photo. The first block is destroyed and the base of the all brass bullet still penetrated to a depth of 22 inches. You won’t find another .223 load that will create this much destruction AND penetrate this deep.

You see, that is the terminal ballistics trade off that you must make. If you want penetration you have to sacrifice tissue damage and if you want tissue damage you have to sacrifice penetration. The Lehigh Defense .223 Controlled Chaos load defies logic. They also make the same load for the .300 Blackout / Whisper and it works just about the same. I shot a big badger with the .300 Blackout version using Mossberg’s soon to be released MVP Patrol rifle and he didn’t take another step and badgers can be somewhat stubborn when you try to kill them.

Lehigh Defense is known for their speciality ammunition.
