Understanding the AK 47

AK-1

A couple weeks ago I spent a few days at READYMAN www.readyman.com headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah. Now, you may have never heard of READYMAN but it is an organization devoted to making men ready; ready for good times, bad times and even really bad times. The READYMAN crew is a collection of former military Special Forces guys who have lots of experience in bad situations as well as some savvy prepper dudes and hunters who know what they’re talking about. All of their knowledge is available on-line via a subscription based video system. You sign up, watch, and learn.

When you sign up you even get a wickedly neat little survival tool that fits in your wallet.

This uniquely designed survival card from READYMAN will fit in your wallet and has a multitude of useful tools if you find yourself stranded in the wilderness.

One of the things I learned about while visiting the READYMAN was the AK. Now, admittedly, I’m not an AK kind of guy. In my mind it’s a communist weapon. That however does not mean it is not a good weapon. In fact, it has a cult like following here in the states. The problem is very few Americans understand the AK. I spent a few moments with former Green Beret and READYMAN gun guy Jeff Kirkham to better understand the AK. You might think you know something about the AK and you might know someone who thinks they know something about the AK. Jeff knows the AK and you might find his comments interesting.
